【ABOUT THE BRAND】
Tomoe River paper, originally established in Japan by Tomoegawa in 1976, has long been celebrated for its ultra-thin, velvety smooth texture, highly favored among fountain pen and ink enthusiasts. Following Tomoegawa's cessation of production in 2021, SANZEN took over as the new custodian, re-engineering the beloved Tomoe River paper to uphold its legacy of quality. Known for its signature 52 gsm weight, the Sanzen version incorporates a refined blend of hardwood and softwood pulps, resulting in a slightly thicker yet smoother sheet with improved durability, reduced ink drying time, and better compatibility with erasers. This meticulous attention to quality ensures that Tomoe River continues to offer an unmatched writing experience for those who appreciate premium Japanese paper.
