What Is TAKE A NOTE?

TAKE A NOTE (TAN) is a Taiwanese brand established in 2010. The brand initially designed and sold digital planners online, and later developed them into printed products. In 2017, TAN planner was recognised by Japan's Good Design Award, and won the first place in the general election in Tokyo. It's then become the first Taiwanese planner to receive this recognition.

TAKE A NOTE's designer Aki is both a designer and a photographer. She has attended all scales of live music events for many years and collaborated with artists from all over the world. Her love for music, photography, stationery and design, combining with the rich working and travelling experiences, shaped the unique soul of TAN planner.

The best comment that we've heard was from its paper. All TAKE A NOTE 2024 planners use 68gsm Tomoe River Paper, which is the best for fountain pens. Fast drying, no feathering, no bleed-through, and minimal ghosting - these constitute the perfect performance of the Tomoe River Paper. The exposed spine binding allows a complete 180-degree flat writing. With its ample grid space and a design with page numbers, the planner is also perfect to be used as a bullet journal, scrapbook and diary.

The Regular A5 and Mini A6 planners (in grey covers) use TAKE A NOTE's most popular original format - a mini calendar, a vertical weekly calendar, a two-day-per-page weekly plan, and a vertical timeline. The Medium Weeks B6 planner (in brown cover) is newly designed to address the long-awaited demand from users for more blank pages, so the format has been changed to a two-page-per-week weekly plan without a timeline, adding extra grid note of 78 pages to allocate more space for free note-taking.
