If you need a small miracle, read. The La Dolce Vita Bookmark – Writing Blue Girl is a clear bookmark sold as one piece with one paper card. She is one of three designs; lined up, the cards complete one passage.
The words come from Qingqing’s Island’s Alaska Island Record, a trip the maker finished with family. The set also carries two lines she keeps close: “Words are simply a miracle,” from Orbital: On the Earth’s Motion, and a Rilke line on life going on after we are gone. Her sister runs a bookshop, so bookshop light is part of the design.
Each bookmark is 15 × 4 cm and 0.8 mm thick — stiff enough to mark a page, clear enough to leave the print visible.
